Golf swing efficiency is how to get the most out of your golf game with the least amount of effort. There are a lot of golfers out there looking for more consistency in their golf game. We are not talking about the swing style, or how it looks on the video screen. But, how well it’s performing.
When you visit your golf fitness professional, the first step he or she will perform is a complete physical assessment. With this information a golf specific routine with the correct stretches and exercises specific for you will be prescribed.
For the players who want to put the work in, it’s my job to give them the right tools in which they need to give them the best chance for success. If they put the time in they will get better. And that is where the biomechanics helps us.
So, why do some students go back two weeks later after the swing drill and say that drill worked great, but they have lost it again?
We can do a drill to fix ball flight very quickly, but that does not mean we have fixed swing efficiency, so I would say the drills are sometimes temporary fixes to get the ball to do what they want.
That is when you start looking at the biomechanics and looking at the actual cause of the effect. By working on and correcting the cause, that change will last a lot longer.
That is why so many golfers out there are frustrated right now. I think they want to put the time in, they want to get better. But if we can use the technology to make the learning process easier. I think a lot more golfers will see the improvement, no matter where they are in there golf game, be it high, mid or low handicap. It will help them find the answer to consistency in their game a lot faster.
